The Monterey Bay Wednesday Night Laundry Runners is the only USA Track and Field associated long distance running team in the Monterey Bay Area.  Donations for the scholarship money awarded are from individuals members and a donation from the Big Sur Marathon.  The WNLR club was founded in the mid 1960's by a group of runners who ran while waiting for their laundry to finish in Pacific Grove.  It has 180 members.

"The awards recognize the seniors' achievements in running as well as individual accomplishments in scholastics, leadership and responsibility," commented Mike Dove, of the WNLR Club.  "We are proud of both Cynari and Carl and wish them luck in both their future athletic and scholastic endeavors."
