Big Sur International Marathon Announces Local Participating Music Groups for Racecourse
(Friday, April 28, 2006 - Carmel, CA) -- In keeping with the strong musical tradition that lends the Big Sur Marathon it charmed frame, race officials published a list of the performing arts groups that will be seen on Sunday's 26.6 mile course.
"All of these groups, whether school based or professional have been an integral part of the Peninsula's rich artistic cultural heritage, " stated Janet Lesniak, music director for the Big Sur International Marathon. "We are pleased to showcase them against the backdrop of our beautiful course and encourage all the runners and walkers to enjoy the concerts along the way."
The Sunday's marathon will begin at 6:45 a.m. and wind up the 26.6 mile course along Coast Highway One. Groups that will be perfoming and their placement on the course are list below.
