Big Sur International Marathon Announces Sell Out of Events

31, 2006 - Carmel, California) -The Big Sur International Marathon announced that most of the events for race weekend
have completely sold out, with the exception of a few spaces left for Marathon registration and the NEWS 46 5K
Run and Walk.
"The trends in the fitness world are very interesting and reflect the gradual shift in demographic change,
mainly the aging of the baby boomer," remarked Wally Kastner, Race Director. While the marathon sells out
each year, it is the two walk events that have taken the lead in a very early sell out. "The walk events
are closed just weeks after registration is open online, "added Kastner.
