| START LOCATION: |
The April 3K will start at the intersection of Figueroa and Del Monte in Monterey. The race will be started in waves based on age groups.

| LIMITS: |
Must be five years of age or older and in good health to participate. This is a non-competitive fun run and is not timed.
|

| REGISTRATION: |
Online registration is provided by Active.com. You may register ONLINE via the registration link or you may download and print a PAPER ENTRY FORM that can be mailed to our office. If you are registering for the Schools Competition, see the section below and print the paper form shown there. You may also call the Big Sur office at 831.625.6226 to request a form or email sally@bsim.org

| SCHOOLS' COMPETITION REGISTRATION: |
You may register for your schools either ONLINE or with a PAPER FORM. If you register online, be sure to indicate which school you are running for. Please see your school coordinator for details. The last day for Schools Competition registration is March 13, 2008. |

| SCHOOLS' COMPETITION: |
Monterey County school children are invited to participate in the Schools' Competition which is an opportunity to raise money for their school. There will be a maximum of $9,000 awarded in total prize money. The amount of the grant is dependent upon whether or not the school participates in the JUST RUN® program. Prizes are awarded FIVE DEEP in four categories:
Highest percentage of enrollment for schools of 250 or more
Highest percentage of enrollment for schools of less than 250
Highest number of participants for schools of 250 or more
Highest number of participants for schools of less than 250

| COURSE: |
The course begins in Del Monte at Figueroa in downtown Monterey and proceeds east on Del Monte in the ocean side lane. At the entrance to the Naval Post Graduate School, participants will turn left and cross a small parking lot and then turn left again onto the Recreation Trail. They will remain on the trail to the finish at Custom House Plaza.

| EVENT INFO: |
All participants receive a unique aquatic themed t-shirt and a finisher's medallion. Following the event Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula will host activities and demonstrations at the Custon House Plaza that are fun and fitness related. There will also be a random drawing with lots of exciting prizes for the kids (must be present to win).
