Lover's Point Park in Pacific Grove

The 3K will begin in three "waves".  The first wave will consist of open (non-school participant) 3K runners.  The other waves will consist of Schools' Competition entrants.  Participant bibs will be color coded to accomodate these waves.  Anyone with a child in a stroller or a dog on a leash should plan in starting with the third wave.

The course will proceed along Oceanview Blvd. in Pacific Grove and head west towards the Monterey Bay Aquarium.  At the American Tin Cannery runners will make a u-turn onto the Recreation Trail and return to the finish at Lover's Point.  There is also the option of a 1.5K turnaround at Berwick Park for our littlest runners.

Registered participants may pick up their bib, event shirt and Aquarium pass at the Health & Fitness Expo on the Friday before the event.  Hours are noon to 6:00 PM. The Expo is located in the Monterey Conference Center next to the Portola Hotel & Spa in downtown Monterey. There is also race morning pick-up beginning at 6:30 AM near the start of the 3K.

Participants in the Schools' Competition may make special arrangements for a bulk pickup in advance of race day.

Parking will be available in the neighborhoods adjacent to Lover's Point Park.  There will also be parking available for buses bringing groups of children for the Schools' Competition.  Stay tuned for more details.

Must be five years of age or older and in good health to participate.  This is a non-competitive fun run and is not timed.

Online registration is provided by Active.com.  You may register ONLINE via the registration link.  Pre-registration for the open 3K will end on Thursday, April 22nd at midnight and re-open at the Expo on Friday, April 29, from noon to 5:00 PM.  There will also be race morning registration at Lover's Point from 6:30 t0 7:45 AM.

If you are registering for the Schools Competition, you must register through your School Coordinator. Registration forms for the Schools' Competition are due no later than March 4.  After this date we invite you to register in the open 3K; you'll still be able to run with your classmates and friends.

Monterey County school children are invited to participate in the Schools' Competition which is an opportunity to raise money for their school. Prizes are awarded FIVE DEEP in four categories:
    
Highest percentage of enrollment for schools of 250 or more
Highest percentage of enrollment for schools of less than 250
Highest number of participants for schools of 250 or more
Highest number of participants for schools of less than 250

Following the 3K, there will be fun activities and music at Lover's Point Park.  There will also be a random drawing for some great prizes (must be present to win).

At 9:30 AM, awards for the winners of the Schools' Competition (the April event only!) will be presented.
