By the Bay Kids' 3K registration opens July 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM PDT          

ENTRY FEE:

$5.00 for children and youth ages 4 through 17
$20.00 for adults ages 18 and over

START LOCATION:

Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove

START & COURSE

The 3K will begin in four "waves". Participant bibs will be color coded to accommodate these waves.  Anyone with a child in a stroller should plan in starting with the fourth (last) wave.

The 2015 course is to be determined.

PACKET PICK-UP

Registered participants may pick up their bib and event shirt at the Health & Fitness Expo on the Friday before the event.  Hours are noon to 6:00 PM. The Expo is located in the Monterey Conference Center next to the Portola Hotel & Spa in downtown Monterey. There is also race morning pick-up beginning at 6:30 AM at Lovers Point Park near the start of the 3K.

Participants in the Schools' Competition may make special arrangements for a bulk pickup in advance of race day.

PARKING

Parking will be available in the neighborhoods adjacent to Lovers Point Park.  There will also be parking available for buses bringing groups of children for the Schools' Competition.  Stay tuned for more details.

LIMITS:

Must be four years of age or older and in good health to participate.  This is a non-competitive fun run and is not timed or scored.

REGISTRATION:

Online registration is provided by Active.com.  You may register ONLINE via the registration link.  Pre-registration for the open 3K will end on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at midnight and re-open at the Expo on Friday, April 24, from noon to 6:00 PM.  There will also be race morning registration at Lovers Point from 6:30 to 7:45 AM.

If you are registering for the Schools Competition, you must register through your School Coordinator.  After this date we invite you to register in the open 3K; you'll still be able to run with your classmates and friends.

SCHOOLS' COMPETITION:

Monterey County school children are invited to participate in the Schools' Competition which is an opportunity to raise money for their school. Prizes are awarded FIVE DEEP in four categories:
    
Highest percentage of enrollment for schools of 375 or more
Highest percentage of enrollment for schools of less than 375
Highest number of participants for schools of 375 or more
Highest number of participants for schools of less than 375

POST-RACE
ACTIVITIES

Following the 3K, there will be fun activities and music at Lovers Point Park.  There will also be a random drawing for some great prizes (must be present to win).

At 9:30 AM, awards for the winners of the Schools' Competition (the April event only!) will be presented.

EVENT INFO: All participants receive a unique aquatic-themed t-shirt, a finisher's medallion, and a  post-event snack.
